Getting the most out of your dayClergy at the AIC have a wealth of experience in weddings and we can help you to get the most of your special occasion. The wedding liturgy offers a range of options for you and our clergyman can work with you to plan out a service that is tailor-made for you. This may involve family or close friends in things like readings and prayers and witnessing; it might involve choice of particular wordage for the various parts of the service; or choice of that special hymn that really means something for you. Like all parts of your day, the service can offer you plenty of choice.

The bible tells us, that: "A cord with three strands is not easily broken". Try it and see if you like!!! Three strands together, is much stronger.
Marriage is much the same. At the end of your special day, we hope for a special and lasting relationship. With Christ at the centre, your marriage will be blessed from on high and be rooted in something far deeper than anything else. God is love and in loving, we experience something of the nature of God as a result. If you would like to have an AIC clergyman conduct your wedding ceremony, he will come and meet with you both to discuss your wedding service, to talk you through different options in the layout, different hymns and songs, the liturgy, how you can involve friends and family and how you can give your service your own unique touch. But also he is there to talk to you about marriage and to help you prepare for that, helping you to be spiritually prepared for married life too. He can also guide you through a range of options for how to best prepare yourself for married life, with Christ at its centre. This doesn't need to be too heavy of course, but again tailored to as much or as little as you wish - there's no exam! |
The AIC is a missional church, that focuses on its presence in, work for and service of, its local community; not necessarily focused in one particular building - afterall 'church' really means the people, not the building. This offers you the option of flexibility over location, an option that has tended to only be available for secular weddings that do not have God at the centre and the spiritual dimension brought by a Christian wedding ceremony.
So what next? Go to the 'whose who' section to find your nearest AIC minister, or if you already know who you want, you should be able to find their details there. Or you can fill out the enquiry form below and we will be in touch. |
